Mouth Beats was born from the natural exploration of a simple question: “They have percussion ensembles, and they have vocal percussionists, so why not have a vocal percussion ensemble?”

In a musical world where the words unique and groundbreaking are over used to the point of losing meaning, Mouth Beats is legitimately unique and groundbreaking.  Four people beatboxing, creating percussion sounds with their mouths, weaving intricate sonic textures, building amazing soundscapes.  A breathtaking fusion of percussion and voice, the vocal artists of Mouth Beats make sounds that literally have been heard no where else before.  Far from being noise, Mouth Beats performs original compositions, stunning arrangements and excerpts of well-known songs, along with a healthy dose of improvised material, drum circle-like jams, and audience-aided beats.

Taking audiences by storm since their premier at the 2009 Rocky Mountain Harmony Sweepstakes (where they were crowned champions), Mouth Beats is available for public, private, and educational performance.
